Anniversary of the End of Days

As the procession shuffled through the desolation, they remarked in hushed voices about the snow that blanketed everything in their view. The white on black felt to them like peace in death, or a clean slate; signalling that the time for a fresh start was drawing near. Much time had passed, and though this skeleton of a building was remembered in tradition as a vessel to pay respect to the dead that surrounded it, the immediate congregation’s half-hearted fragments of prayers and murmurs of souls at rest were intended for a much larger plane.
