A N I M A L

Snake on a sand dune,

Slowly slithers sideways,

down down down.

The taciturn Snail,

Has forayed too far,

will not escape; the winter boot.

A lonely frog,

Alone lying,

by his mothers corpse,

dust to the trees; for all eternity.

A howling grey wolf,

Stars speak quietly,

to her and her, one remaining cub.

In fashion, the parakeet,

flaunts his plumage, to the angry crows,

who take revenge; as a hobby.

Or a shire horse!

Chewing the long,

Uncut grass,

Whose toenails are too long and ingrown,

Both owners dead inside, never to be found,

Alive.
