Empty pavement, empty road.
Streetlights lighting up the nothingness
An overgrown island
Two trees, a few flowers and some weeds.
Not too hot and not too cold.
Yet a cool breeze
As we raced up and down, down and up.
Two friends, one bike
It was more than enough for us.
Childhood friends and a late summer evening
Making memories that’d transcend seasons.
We laughed until it was time for bed
The we would stop, sleep and start again tomorrow.
